FALSE HOLLEY 465

***Caution Alert*** If you plan to buy a new 465 Holley (list 1848) please be aware the current carburetor sold by Holley is NOT a 465.

This was brought to our attention earlier this year by my fellow Holley shops in USA that we trade with. The popular Holley 465 that we all loved last century, and fitted to our Australian 6cyl and small V8 engines is NOT being made by Holley currently. The carburettor Holley have advertised as the 465, also bearing the same list number 1848, is a 390 carb. The main body has 390 sized venturi and base plate has the smaller 390 butterlies (103 primary 1 7/16" bore, the 465 had 1 1/2" bore with 107 butterflies). Secondaries smaller as well.

As Holley own the carburetor rights, they can change as they like. However, the classic car community world wide can still hold them accountable.

Contact us if you want a true 465, as original restored carbs and recalibrated carbs are still around.
